BioCharacter Info Name: 市丸ギン Ichimaru Gin Fandom: BLEACH Character's appearance: Ichimaru Gin and his zanpakutou, Shinsou. Biography link: Ichimaru Gin's Bleach Wiki article. Personality: With a wide smile spread across his lips, Gin mirrors a fox. There's more to the nickname than just his appearance: he's surprisingly cunning, and particularly self-serving. As Sousuke Aizen's loyal subordinate, he crossed each and every one of Soul Society's inhabitants, leaving them tangled up in both confusion and devastation. Gin's also known to be quite a tease. From grim instances, such as offering to murder Rukia's guards, to more playful moments with her older brother, he attempts to find amusement in any way he can. This often irks - or scares the ever loving hell out of - his 'victims', and leaves him quite friendless at times. On the flip side, Gin is not exactly the 'friendly' type. When his smile or manner of socializing does not offend, he often distances himself. An example of that would be his tenuous relationship with Rangiku Matsumoto, his childhood friend and colleague, who he has continuously left behind without warning. Although the reason for his actions has yet to be revealed, it could be reasoned that this distance is a sort of safeguard. It keeps others out, away from any harm he may cause them, and keeps him in, away from more positive influences. Occasionally, Gin does break from his expression. Meditation or confusion is generally the culprit, although there has been one instance where he appeared deeply apologetic. This revealed a side of him most viewers did not expect, and still do not understand. The only rational explanation is that, despite his fox-like exterior, Gin can feel guilt, even if it is fleeting. Gin has made himself to be an enigma, and knows it's his best defense.
